Getting Around

Getting around Irvine is easier than ever.  Locally, its urban villages and business districts are connected by an expansive network of uniquely connected highways, roads and over 360 miles of bikeways and walking paths. Additionally, Irvine is a connected regional and international hub just 36 miles from Los Angeles International Airport and minutes from John Wayne Airport.

Biking is a part of everyday life for residents here. Irvine is one of only 14 California cities to earn the designation of a Silver Level Bicycle Friendly Community from the League of American Bicyclists. The city provides more than a third of Orange County’s bikeways.
